In the beginning, our mission was simple.  We wanted to create superior hair care products that took full advantage of the abundant resources found in nature.  We knew there would be difficulties to overcome.  But we knew we were up to the challenge, so we rolled up our sleeves and went to work.  That was almost ten years ago.  

Our mission has expanded significantly since then.  Salon Naturals is still fully committed to creating hair care products that celebrate beauty without compromising safety and wellness.  But in recent months, we have come to realize that we need to do more. 

Our customers’ concerns go beyond hair care.  They want everything they use on their bodies and in their homes to be effective, healthy, safe, cruelty-free and ethical.  The process of deciding what products to buy and which companies to support is not something they do lightly.  Unfortunately, it has become almost impossible for anyone who isn’t a chemist to separate good products from bad. 

Salon Naturals believes that it shouldn’t require eight hours of research, six different websites, two chemical databases and three phone calls to determine whether or not a product is safe.  It makes sense to us that consumers should be able to freely choose which products work for them – based on their priorities and needs.  Unfortunately, this can’t happen until companies get honest and provide genuine facts that are useful and relevant to consumers who want more than a pretty label and a clever blurb.
